Privacy

Truths has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your streak and completed objectives stay on your device. If you sign up for the morning email, your address is used only to send it.
What stays on your device
The website and the phone app save your completed objectives, your streak and settings such as your reminder time on your own device, in your browser's storage or the app's storage. This information is not sent to Truths. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app erases it.
Morning email
If you sign up, your email address is stored by Buttondown, the service that sends the daily brief. It is used only to send Truths emails, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Truths does not sell or share email addresses. Buttondown describes how it handles data in its own privacy policy at buttondown.com.
Visit counts
The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you. It reports totals such as pages viewed, which sites sent visitors, country and device type. Cloudflare also hosts the website and, like any web host, processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
Phone app
The Truths app has no account and no analytics. Morning reminders are scheduled on your phone itself. The app downloads new briefs from the Truths website, the same way a browser loads a page.
Links to other sites
Search this quote opens a Google search, and the sharing buttons open sites such as WhatsApp or Facebook. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
Truths is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change.
